RESEARCH BIO
My research focuses the phonetics and phonology of different varieties of Spanish from an experimental perspective. My most recent publications are based on the intonation of questions and statements in varieties of Spanish spoken in northern, central, and southern Spain, adhering to principles in autosegmental prosodic structure and stylistic (social) variation. I am also working on a research project on phrase accent structure in wh-question intonation. Most recently, I have taken interest in heritage language learning and heritage language prosody.
